 how it works

There is no single program that helps all kids with behavior problems, which is why we created an app with multiple techniques, all working together within a behavior point system.

Positive Reinforcement Program

The Catch Them Being Good Program asks parents to print out cards which are given to children when they exhibit positive behaviors. Each day the cards are collected and the points are added to the app.

Schedule Maker

Having a structured day is essential for kids with behavior problems. The Schedule Maker helps parents think through their expectations for their child. The schedule is printed out each day and kids earn points for being on time and respecting family rules.

Family Meeting Coach

Regular family meetings are an important way for families to address problems and foster a sense of belonging and security in children. The app can be used to guide families through a productive meeting, or the structure can be printed out as a guide. The focus is on fostering cooperation and constructive ways to resolve conflicts.

Solution Factory

Based on the Collaborative Problem Solving technique of Dr. Ross Greene, this part of the app takes families and kids through a process of respectfully  finding solutions that work for both the parents and the child.

Consequence Coach

Positive approaches to child behavior problems are always preferred, but that doesn't mean that misbehavior can just be ignored. This section of the app takes parents through a "guided tour" of appropriate discipline techniques from using a point system, to logical consequences, to loss of a privilege and more. After attempts are made to use a consequence, parents check in on its effectiveness.
