Use with up to 10 Kids

The Professional Version of Positivity Reset is designed for direct use with children in your therapy or counseling office. It is fun for all children, but is particularly useful for children with ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and other behavioral problems.

You can set up the app for an individual child in seconds (you just need the child's first name and age) and the app will keep track of that child's activity and progress.

The app is a behavioral program, and children earn points by playing the game and completing real-life behavioral missions.  You can set the points and rewards for each child in the settings section.  Children extend their learning through emotional regulation worksheets printed right from the app.

Positivity Reset can be played on a computer, phone, or tablet.  However, once you choose a device, you must continue on the same device to keep all your data.  Data is stored on the device (rather than the cloud), and progress points and information will not migrate from one device to another.

 how it works

Some psychologists think that kids may be born with a predisposition to have a more positive/optimistic attitude versus a negative/pessimistic one. Others say that a child's attitude is mostly influenced by their environment, including watching and listening to how the adults around them act. Whatever the cause of a child's behavioral problems and negative attitude, there is clear research that says a positive and optimistic way of looking at the world can be taught and that it can have a long-term effect on a child's development.

1

Help kids differentiate positive and negative thinking

The "whack-a-mole" game begins by having children determine six positive and six negative self-statements. These are added to the ' game and of course they can be changed at any time.

2

Kids can also record their voices reading each statement

You can also record the child saying each statement.  Or you can record your voice too! This adds a fun element to the game as children see and hear the positive and negative statements.

3

Whack negative thinking!

In the game, kids click or tap negative thoughts and let the positive ones remain.  There are different levels of play to make the game more challenging for older children.  Points are immediately added to the behavioral program which is shown prominently on the dashboard for kids to see their progress.

4

Send kids on positivity missions

Nothing is more important than positive behavior, including kindness, consideration, cooperation, and self-care. Choose either a Positivity Mission or a Random Acts of Kindness with the child. When each mission is completed, the child rates their mood, and gets 25 points towards their reward.

5

Emotional Regulation

The Positivity Wheel provides two to four minute activities designed to quickly reset a child's mood. This is a great technique to show kids that they can influence their emotions when they are feeling stressed or overwhelmed.

It All Starts with Increasing Motivation

The "whack-a-mole" game is where you would introduce the app to kids. It's easy and fun to play and gets kids thinking about the difference between a positive and negative attitude right away. It also gives them a chance to win points towards their reward as soon as they play!

A Positive Attitude Comes From Positive Actions

Apps can be fun ways to engage with kids, but positive behaviors are what really matter. Positivity Reset comes with two mission types for kids to choose, and both earn points when a mission is accomplished. Missions are recorded in the Progress section which can be downloaded and saved as a PDF.

Quick Emotional Reset

Emotional regulation techniques are easy to teach with the Positivity Wheel. Kids spin the wheel to get an activity that takes just a few minutes and yet gives them an instant "reset" on their mood.  Naturally, kids earn points when they complete the reset so they are anxious to give it a try.
